Year 2012 will be interesting for us, as quite some groups already announced their arrivals in different
times during the year. The first thing we do, however, is the Lipica Open race with its warm up event
Xtremor. Some new maps were made for Lipica open and there will be more.
Then around Easter we will have some grups coming to train in the SW region of Slovenia and later on in
summer OOcup follows in Postojna. Expect some nice orienteering there as well!

It's been a year since the last post here, but that doesn't mean that orientering.si was on a break! On the contrary, in 2010 we had quite some groups on training camps in different time of year, like
Czech A national team, OK Linne, Lidingo OK, German youth team, few Czech groups, Swiss group from Huttwil etc... And in the next year we expect more, for example British team in July, Austrian junior team in March, another
Swiss group in April and more ... They all know what they're coming for to Slovenia! To rock 'n' roll on some of the toughest karst terrains available.
We have made some slight changes in concept and prices. All the prices that were changed were actually lowered, which is good for you. On the other hand we decided not to offer marking with tape anymore, but we will of course keep the option of marking with control flags. Check our packages!

The maps in Slovenian snow free areas are being remapped - in order to have as good winter training camps as
possible in February/March ...
On the left you can see a small sample of revised Vilenica map (formerly known as Lipica 3). It is a terrain close to Lipica stud farm and was one
of the first areas mapped in Slovenia (1990) in IOF standard. Only now it is being drawn in OCAD. The map is being revised mainly by
Daniel Lebar, who is helped by Ivan Nagy.
At the same time and only some 15 km away a Czech/Slovak team composed of Zdenek Sokolar, Jan Drbal and Robert Micek is working on terrain of Krajna vas. The map
will be completely renewed. Krajna vas is one of the better orienteering areas in Slovenia and luckily it is situated in snow free part of
the country. The new Krajna vas map will be used at next year's XTREMOR.

The SW Slovenia section is finished. You can now see the trainings and the packages that we offer as well
as some basic facts about the region and the contact e-mail adresses. At the moment this region is our priority since it's the only one with the real winter training possibilities. And winter training camps are approachin swiftly. As a matter of fact, we already have the first group confirmed for winter training camp - in February we will host the Czech national team!
Today the mappers have arrived to Slovenia. First they will work on the Krajna vas map (offered in SW Slovenia section) and after that they will move to Savinjska valley to map for OO.cup/2010. The new map will of course be also offered in Velika planina section.
And of course, we are working on the rest of the content of this website ....

We are working but still not finishing with all the content for the site. But no worries, everything will be done in time, before season start ;).
